So this is a bit of good news and a mix bag of apples. The Jack level pledge for the new Dreadball arrived. I skimmed it quick and only noticed all the old teams are collected in this book and the new kickstarter ones. Old MVP are also included. I received new tokens and play cards and I will read some of it tonight to see the changes.
The bad was the only sent the pledge and not the additional add ons I got. So that is near early February I guess. That kinda burns me because Mantic seems more interested in starting another Kickstarter rather than get old ones complete. Its why I backed off these new ones.
Which leads to the next issue. Mantic games are fun. The companies game designers to know what makes a good game. I am interested to give this new set a rules a go and I will try to update them to you in the thread following this. We have a ton of teams to use and the way they have done business you could get your own team pretty cheap because most companies are liquidating there product. If you are interested let me know here, John I know you got the street version of the old game I will look to see if there any rules similarity.

Interesting. I could be convinced to dust off the Extreme teams.

I heard this before and looks right. Jack's are limited to a one hex move and throw. They still suffer a -1 which makes them hard to score with. Other new things, the cards can also be spent as a single die re-roll. Only one card action and 2 token actions total can be played on a single player. Jack's also get a +1 to speed tests. I haven't had a chance to read every skill but I imagine there is some cleaned up rules there.

I'd play the game but I am not impressed how the company does bushiness so I won't be buying in unless I find a stupid good deal on a team I like.

Well finally the 2nd part of the Mantic pledge came this week. What it gives us is 3 pitches, cards, & tokens to play. Yes we can have 3 games going so it can bring us some easy videos and no one waiting around. I have discussed this some of you on the interest. We have the teams and they haven't changed so we don't need anything to play. With this pledge we can go. I would just need to get up to speed on the rules and paint the new board models but I could do that in a day given time. What do we think?
