Well I got to get out last night to Crossroads. I played Thor in a Blood Bowl game. My dwarves against his humans. He had played a game before and was only able to field 10 players but he had Fluffy his ogre to help. Early I kept him down and even had Fluffy on his back a lot thanks to dauntless. Then he hit my ball carrier and blasted away from me and scored. Giving him a 1-0 lead. Then he got to me again and was closed to scoring but missed a crucial catch. I grabbed it and just wanted to change field position but managed a long bomb from my Blitzer to Cohen Copperneck my runner. He somehow caught it and scored. Tied 1-1. Near the last turns, Thor's rolls turned sour. Fluffy went two turns of Bonehead and I apparently hit his thrower in the head as he botched picking up the ball. I then swarmed around it and he missed grabbing it because 4 69ers were there. He knocked into a blockers hand. I then was able to clear a route and hand it off into Copperneck's hands and he scampered off to score. Up 2-1 On my final turn. He could only score on a riot but I didn't roll it on the kick-off so Victory!! It was great just sitting and playing against a good player in Blood Bowl. Next week I face Kenny and his Orcs!

I was able to play my 2nd game in the league yesterday. My Miners 69ers would face Kenny's Orcs. Kenny had a rough go in his 1st match having 2 of his orcs down. One was a Black Orc. However success is not always a great thing as my 69ers had a higher value and gave Kenny some gold to make up the difference. This allowed him getting a Black Orc journeyman to rebolster his line. I receievd first and had Cohen Copperneck swing to the right and march down against the orcs. Initially I had most of his team down but following turns his Black Orc strenght 4 was giving him the edge. But down the sideline, my Troll Slayer, Oscar Onslaught, led a couple of blocker to clear a path for Copperneck and we scored. Kenny almost got a late score in the half but a blitz put down his Blitzer before that happened. 2nd half was a rough start for Kenny as the rowdy dwarf fans invaded the pitch and stunned almost half of the Orc team. Worse most were on the line giving the 69ers free reign to the ball carrier but their short movement saved Kenny from complete disaster. His Thrower , Dom Brady, was able to launch a quick pass to his Blitzer Auldelman and he shookmhjs way free of dwarves to score. 1-1 The 69ers received again and this time pushed hard left against the orcs. They managed to clear enough room for Copperneck and only Brady could stop him. However, Copperneck star power having gained block knocked Brady on his ass and went off to score. 2-1 The final 8th turn was on the orcs and just tried to earn some xp for the lads but apparently Brady suffered a concussion when trying to tackle because he failed twice to pick up the ball. Game ended with another win for the 69ers. Copperneck went to level 3, and earned Nerves of Steel. It appears the other league opponents could be harder to round up but the Brenden just assembled a new Skaven team.
