So I figured I should make my own thread for the stuff I've been doing rather than piggy back on Ben's Pictures to follow. (bbcode here is too damned wonky to link stuff for some reason. )

No dark gonna stop this paint train. Finished up my Orkish Bloodbowl team during the power outage. So glad I had a flashlight bright enough! And a closer shot. As I mentioned in the Bloodbowl thread, I am currently converting a Norse team up and also finishing up some Ad Mech models. I'll post pics when I can.

And here is the inter team project. Since the Norse weren't ready for painting yet, I needed to bust something out quickly for painting the week I spent in the woods. Just finished painting them yesterday. (I might have gotten distracted with the Norse Team conversions when I got back. Pictures of those soon.) On the left are my Castellan Robots and Cybernetica Datasmith, on the right forgeworld Castellax Automata (will be used as more Castellans) and the Raging Heroes' Tremata done up as a Techpriest Enginseer.

Thank ya! Now that the show is done, I should be able to get around to posting my pics of my finished Norse team soon. Even with some in progress conversion shots. Next up for me is finally fixing a couple of the Eathrshakers I bought off someone(need to get them off my desk and protected ^_^) and maybe a few more AdMech.

As promised here are the photos of my conversion process for making my Norse team, but first above is the picture of the finished product. I didn't want to do just another human team and I figured I had all these space wolf heads lying around I could probably convert them pretty easy. Of course no plan survives contact with the modelling table. Getting them out of the box made me realize I'd need to cut off a lot of their armor to get the look I wanted. I decided keeping the pants was probably okay, even though the original models didn't have any. First up! Putting them together and gouging out the unwanted armor bits. I used a dremel with a stone grinding bit, to gouge away the armor bits on the front, and my trusty hobby knife to carve and scrape the shirt and armor bits on the back. Next up I needed to build those sweet nordic six-packs. The throwers actually had the correct proportions that I could carve the abs into the plastic itself.

And for the others, I needed to fill the voids in with green stuff and use my sculpting tool to mold in the not quite chiseled abs. For the ulfwerener, I simply used a couple of wulfen models without their backpacks, so I took no pictures of them, the conversions were simple. For the yehtee, I started with an ogre body and had and carved away most the the gut with the dremel. And then I attached some tyranid warrior legs dremeled smooth and wulfen feet. Then I attached the ogre arms and covered it all with green stuff and molded in fur. I thought I had a photo of that but I can't find it, but I guess I forgot to document that step. Still as you can see from the first picture, I am pretty pleased with how they came out. I can definitely use more practice sculpting green stuff, but not a bad attempt over all.

Aw thanks! Maybe I am beginning to actually become an artist, because I think it could have been better. ^_^ I like how the Yhetee turned out though.

Finished these up a bit ago, now working on some more AdMech. The Basilisks that needed a little TLC. 95% of this is someone else's work, I just added the railing armor and a gunner. Those are a couple of my Raging Heroes minis that came as freebies to the first Toughest Girls in the Galaxy kickstarter. Some friends and I started a 5th ed DnD game, so when the DM decided to go to minis for combat, I HAD to convert up my tiefling warlock. This was one of the human sorcerers (Nozul's) repositioned the arms a bit and added greenstuff horns and a tail. And some other Raging Heroes, plus one. Lord Commissar/Tempestor Prime, Colonel Straken clone and command squad, and a female ratling sniper.
