For us that are making it, what do you want to play. We should get a nice balanced party. Fighter Thief Cleric Wizard....

I'm torn between playing either a Fighter or a Thief. What are you thinking of playing?

This is starting a new campaign...3rd level PCs to start. You can take any of the pc races/classes you like out of the Player's Handbook or Volo's if you'd like.....although as per Ben, a balanced party is always a good idea.
For your stats, you have 80 points to spend and no stats greater than 18 to start...unless there is some kind of racial bonus.
Max HPs for level 3. You'll be rolling in the future.
Feel free to equip your character with reasonable gear.
I can supply pre-gens again for any players that can't (or don't want to) make their own.
See you at the Forge!

I was thinking of looking at a sorcerer, so I can cover the "wizard" slot in some fashion.

After looking through the Player's Handbook, I've decided that I want to play a High Elf who is slumming with the humans and steals for the thrill of it. So I'd be doing the lock-picking, trap-finding cat-burglar.

Dangit, I'm with Art on this one. I'm up for joining in after. Leaning towards a Fighter then. After playing Finellan, I'll see what the options are for one that isn't also a spellcaster.

Question here. When we make characters are we already going to know each other or are we being introduced? If we do or it's a choice. Other players let me know what tour ideas are if you want to have ties with my character

My character is a trust-fund baby hanging out in the rough parts of town. He's always ready to party all night, make new friends and engage in shenanigans.
He might know anybody in the party. Or if we don't know each other yet, then he'll make friends quickly.

In so far as party composition goes... whether we know each other or not, I was thinking we might go a step farther and discuss character builds to see how we can/will harmonize and work together stat wise... like what spells/effects can I build in that would benefit some of the other party members or gestalt with other class abilities....

Okay. I have the usual high dex thief abilities. But I can only tell the difference between fruits if the label is still on it from the market. I've never saddled or tended my own horse. A kitchen is a room that food magically comes out of, I have no idea what happens in there. And you really, really don't want me to try to bandage you.

I'm going with a male human cleric. He is a priest of Chauntea and his domain in life, so I can heal the party. Decent combat warrior wielding a huge club but Isnt known for his dancing or quick agility. Also tends to react to things intead of force pressure on enemies. (-1 Iniative) I have it so far that I know Jacobs character since I am a traveller

Ivar the Clanless. Dwarven fighter. His family was exhiled from the Starforge Clan when he was a young child. They were exhiled after his father lost the clan relic axe name Star Axe in battle. He now wanders the realms in search of the axe forged from a meteor in order to become a part of the clan again. He is a brash young fighter that is always looking for a fight thinking that each battle won will help restore his family honor and erase some of the shame of being a clanless dwarf.
I haven't done his stats/abilities yet. Like Ben said our characters know each other. I don't imagine he would know Mark's character.
