Well we are off on the new season. All new story as they are past the books. Watched episode 2 and feeling a bit unsatisfied with events. So yeah spoilers here on out...
It seems the writers hate Dorn. More limited story and then a fell swoop cuts their leadership. Ugh, lame after the book's view on them. Second was Nymeria, why bother if she wasn't going to stay with Arya. I was hoping for big things after all this time with those two points and it failed to deliver. And damn what a worm Theon!

They had already fucked the Sand Snakes all up so it was better to just get rid of them. It makes Euron look more badass. The hottest one is still alive.....for now. The Dilence is a bad ass ship. The Arya/Nymeria scene showed that Nymeria is definitely alive and leading the wolves. Also that she remembers Arya. It sets it up for the wolves to come to her aide at a later date.

I too am disappointed in how they have handled Dorne, such great story lines and characters just ignored. I guess they have to cut somewhere, looks like they are the ones to suffer the most. At least the Greyjoys are back, and bad ass.
Hopefully the Nymeria scene was a set up, hope she shows up again with her wolves.
When they kill Lyana Mormont I hope they give her a good death. She is too cool not to end up dying real soon.

SPOILERS
The season has ended, sadly a very short one compared to what we are used too. But how do I like where they have gone in the show. I am very happy with the Stark story line and the war with the Night King. I have always anticipated those mighty clashes and seeing it was awesome. I did assume Dani and John would be together even in the books. I was pretty shocked with Littlefingers death. It was like wow in the show but I don't think it has any chance to be like that in the books. His love for Sansa has made him much different protector than in the show. It was interesting how they got Jaime back on track. Will see what goes from there. The show has stayed good. Its been a little hard to deal with the fast travel after all this time but I have been able to live with it. What did you guys think about it?

Littlefinger caught me off guard. They did a great job building the tension between Arya and Sansa leading up to it.
Danny and John was no surprise. Nor was his parentage or the fact that he is a legitimate heir. I was on that train for a long time.
The wall coming down was super cool, was wondering how they were gonna get past the wall. Guess it was easier than I thought LOL Now lets hope that was not the end of Turmund and Barric. That would be an inglorious death for 2 cool characters.
