Welcome to the comment thread for "Malifaux Miniatures" A walk-through build of assembling a Malifaux miniature. If you haven't seen it yet, watch the video here - www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDhn3cze0oMWhat sort of experiences have you had with working with Wyrd's plastic? Have you discovered any cool tips or tricks?

Mark, this was a great video! Just the right length and some great ideas. The "put the head on last" is quite important in hobby, great idea to call it out. Something that would be interesting to see next is maybe a discussion on magnetizing miniatures and even building up bases on a model. My least favorite thing to see is a miniature on a naked base, think it may even bother me more than an unpainted mini. Looking forward to more videos like this. P.S. as a heads up (and I think it may be the same compound as you showed in the video but not sure) my favorite applicator/glue for Wyrd plastic is this.

I would definitely be in for doing a video on using magnets. Building up bases is one of my least strong skill sets, but I'd be willing to demonstrate my meager skills.
Your bases look really good, and we could work with you if you'd like to do a tutorial on how you put your bases together. For instance, I've never worked with water effects and the bases you've done with it, look really great.
I've seen those bottles of glue in the store but I've never worked with them before. I'll have to pick one up some time.

I'd be very happy to help do a water effects video. The swamp bases are a lot of fun to do, with that said they do require just that extra bit of time after you're done painting to do the final touches. Let me know if/what I can do to help put together a video!

I wanted to say after 20+ years of modelling with plastic miniatures, I went out and got the same tools and went about doing the same procedures as Mark did in this video. I was very happy with the final result of using what I learned. My models came out clean and feel pretty durable with the glue application technique. If you haven't seen the video I recommend checking it out. It helped me I'm sure it will help you. Thanks Mark!

You're very welcome. It's always a pleasure to share any know-wotz I might have with anyone who'll listen.
