So I have finally finished the 2nd Season of Star Wars; Rebels. Yeah I know it's Disney and a Cartoon but the writing is good. The 1st season isn't over the top like I felt with Clone Wars. The other thing about it is it appears it could have a significant influence in the Star Wars Canon. A lot of rumors are surfacing that Supreme Commander Snoak is Ezra in the show. Now, in two seasons I haven't seen it but near the end it start's to make you wonder. I enjoy the show and recommend everyone give it a try. Another note is that several ships from this show have now appeared in Star Wars: X-wing the miniature game such as the cool "Ghost"

Grady and I love Rebels. The season finale was awesome. Added a little credibility to that theory.

Agreed, Ezra would be within the right age range, and maybe he finds a new mentor in the guy they meet in the season finale.
Also I LOVED the last fight with Vader, so cool, so awesome to see stuff like that come full circle. I think they are really nailing the Star Wars feel and still keeping it kid safe.

The force user Ezra meets in the season finale is Darth Maul. The same Darth Maul that died in episode 1 at the hands of Qui Gon. In the Clone Wars Animated series, which takes place kind of between Episode 1 ands 2 of the movies, Darth Maul was resurrected by the Witches of Dathomir. After Maul's death, the witches did a magical captain america program on Maul's brother to prepare him for apprenticeship to the emperor. After Maul was resurrected he and his brother broke away from the emperor's control and went off on their own to establish their own power base. They were defeated by Obi Wan and Anakin in the Clone Wars series but Maul wasn't killed.

Matt I was attempting to avoid spoilers, I am well aware of who Maul is, loved the Clone Wars series as much as I enjoy Rebels.

Spoiler for Season 3. If you are not caught up don't read anymore
Holy Shit, saw the Season 3 trailer and one of my favorite villains has made his return. Grand Admiral Thawn is back. He is canon now. I see this season taking a heavy turn, very Empire like. Excited for the start now!

Holy shit, that is awesome. What a great addition to the show and to add back to canon. More Mandilorians too. Looks like it's going to be a great season.
