I reviewed the Kickstarter Project and right now with the idea around getting more pledges to meet the value of the initial pledge of $125, I don't see it. The original set is about 23 figs and for each $25,000 a new figure is unlocked. Zombicide came with over 100 figs at the core and tons of add on figs. Paper Mat and cardboard tokens makes this whole thing seem cheap and flimsy for a value over a $100. Mantic has done well with pasts projects but their reservation seems to cost on this one. This one will likely wait until retail and that's a maybe if $80 for 20+ models and paper.

The retail purchase price point will be 50 dollars. So the initial pledge is over double and a half the cost of what the retail will be. It'll have to unlock a ~TON~ of extras to get the additional 75 dollars worth of value out of the pledge.

I wonder if the "paper mat" is just a stand in and ideally you would use model terrain? Anyway, they will make a ton of SGs of course but even then, for $125...that's seems high for what comes in the package compared to Zombicide which did seem to come with a ton of stuff. I can't see spending over $100....I'll save that cash for PAX.

The quality mat came with Deadzone but Matt commented they had issues with producing it for quality price point so they did paper for other projects

They could always SG a decent map...or at least indicate that a good mat would be for sale on the website in the future.
