Ronnie Renton gives another interview with Beasts of War, talking about details for Walking Dead: All Out War The relevant part starts around 49:30 and goes until about 1:07:00 www.beastsofwar.com/the-weekender/mantic-walking-dead-gw-starter-sets/Some key points: It seems that most likely Mantic will kickstart this to get the necessary seed money, but that instead of just letting the kickstarter run and run, Ronnie will stop the kickstarter once it hits a certain money amount the pledges would close. Anybody who missed it would pick it up in retail. The victory conditions revolve around getting loot objectives and getting off the table. The factions are taken mainly from the comic books, and the game is faction vs. faction with the zombies basically acting as active terrain moving toward the noise of melee or gunshots. Named characters will have special rules around their own special talents. I'm much more intrigued by the game now and getting a little excited about the possibilities present in using noise as a strategy to manipulate zombies into attacking your opponents for you.

There's a noise component in Zombicide so we've already seen elements of strategy involving noise. SO I would expect characters that can employ thrown or placed explosives to play into that strategy for you.

He talked a little about the noise mechanics. Some examples were: If you use the run action or fight in melee, then the nearest walker moves toward you. If you do something really loud, then every walker on the board moves toward you. And if choose to use a chainsaw in combat you'll really tear up your target but you'll end up with every walker on the board swarming you.
He emphasized that it isn't a co-operative game and it is not a gridded game. Movement is generally 6" and you move freely the same as a wargame.

The objective grabbing is interesting but the zombies as active terrain is perfect. I'll have to jump on this

The latest details from the Mantic blog. The video interview in the article is the same as the Weekender video in the first post. The FAQ has a lot of new info though. The game focuses only on the comic characters, any of the characters that are just in the TV show won't be in the game. There will be rules for making 'generic' survivors that you can use alongside the named characters. manticblog.com/2016/01/15/walking-dead-interview-ronnie-renton-faq/
