The Infinity site's front page has a 10th Anniversary Achilles 2.0 (hoplite armor) figure they are releasing for Aleph. Pretty damn sweet model. I would definitely get it if I was playing Aleph.

Well at a 24 CC and a 15 BS that is super impressive but the kicker is 6 Arm & BTS, that's tough to crack! Add 3 Wds and he isn't going down easy. The design is to put small pointed order models because if you only get like 5 orders on him he will be easier to handle

Those stats are competitive with a TAG, he is a S2 TAG. And for all the power and toughness that he brings, he still only provides one order. I agree that you would have to compensate with a lot more 'cheerleaders' in the army to give Achilles the orders he needs to be effective.

He would be tough to use at less than 300 point games. That's the problem I ran into with the Charontid who costs 71/72 points

No doubt, but at 200 points you can't fit in all that many other fun models and have an ok amount of orders. Definitely fun to use though which is why I would order that sweet new model right away if I played Aleph.

I played around with making some ALEPH lists with Achilles in it. It was really hard to make a decent list with distributed power, specialists and adequate number orders.
