So I guess the big question for everyone to start, what did you think? Enjoy it, liked it, hated it?
All I know is it definitely beats Episode 1-3 for me at very least.

I enjoyed it!
My biggest question though is why is Kylo Ren's nose so big? Neither Han nor Leia had a giant schnoze. So why is his? My Theory is that is where the Dark side of the force is kept for him. Cannon states that becoming strong in the Dark side of the force will have a physical effect on the body, so I suspect that it is making his nose grow.

I don't know about that. I think he channeled the Han from the Holiday Special cartoon. Han's face was stretched in that cartoon, and his schnozz was huge.
I liked the movie. I felt there was a good back and forth between the intense action sequences and calmer talking scenes. Despite being over 2 hours, it didn't feel overly long, unlike The Return of The King's parade of endings. I'm hoping that Finn does become a Force-user by the end of this trilogy.

I thought the movie was great. To me it fits right in with the original three and is far better than the prequels. JJ kept the feel of the first three movies and added the right amount of humor (Daniel Craig aka James Bond as a Storm Trooper!!!). I also no see why in a few years they are doing the Han Solo movie. I love a lot of the little easter eggs in the movie that paid homage to the other movies too.

Oh! I did not realize. I still haven't seen that. That could indeed be the reason. ^_^

I am still undecided as to how I feel. Loved that it really felt like Star Wars but you could see the plot twists coming from a mile away. Also still having a hard time reconciling some of the plot holes that I normally can be overlooked in movies like this.
It just felt like they took Episode 4 and made it bigger and more exciting. Maybe I was expecting too much. I'm going to see it again and hopefully I'll have a better idea of how I feel about it.

So any guesses on the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke? I'm thinking that it is Darth Plagius (sp?).

So now that I have seen it twice I can say I liked it. I a just disappointed that the end is so unoriginal, other than that it was well done.

The ending was predictable, but I still liked how it was done. I do think Chewie and R2 should have accompanied Rey to find Luke and right now I think everyone is expecting that Rey is Luke's daughter. The surprise would come if that is not the case. There are a few spots I can nit pick at about the movie, but I really enjoyed it as an add on to the series.

All of these are valid points, but the thing that irks me the most is if you are going to go through the trouble of putting quillons on your light sabre you damned well better know how to use them. The only time I saw them being used was to burn Finn's shoulder. Maybe I need to go back and see the fight scenes again but, as a fencer I am a little annoyed. Especially after they made a big deal of it in the first trailer.

I saw an explanation that said they weren't quillons, they were "vents." According to this explanation in a properly built light saber the energy is in a properly tuned phase and projects out to the full blade length and then returns to the hilt creating a circuit.
Kylo Ren's blade is basically "over-clocked" and improperly constructed and tuned, resulting in the jagged flickering blade. Because too much power is poured into the blade, when it cascades back down the blade to complete the circuit, it needs to be vented out the sides or it would burn out the circuitry in the handle.
The "quillons" supposedly aren't any good for defense they're just there to keep an over-powered, emo, cool looking saber from blowing up in an angsty teenager's hand.
A lot like holding a pistol sideways it is supposed to look "tough" and "cool" not actually be useful or effective.

Given Kylo's tendency to rage, having an over clocked saber sounds about right. I'm sure he made it out of the Starkiller base explosion...wonder if he was able to save the saber.

That is a really good explanation, but took way too long and way too much knowledge of how a light sabre works to explain away why the quillons weren't affective. It would have been better to just use them as godsdamned quillons. >.< I don't think that would take too much knowledge of how a sword works to make that affective would it?

Rey as Luke's son makes some sense. What I got from the movie is that the First Order went around and stole all the heroes of the rebellion's children. Kylo is Han and Leia's, Finn is the son of a Hero if you believe some of the marketing on the internet, and Rey has qualities and plot interactions in the movie that point us towards that conclusion. But then the question becomes why did Luke have a family on Jakku and why was Rey left behind when whatever part of her family left with the First Order. So she either has a sibling that was stolen, or mother or father were taken or voluntarily abandoned her. One of the selling points of Star Wars Battlefront was that we'd get to see why Jakku was important. It seems Jakku was an Imperial R&D weapons base. But we get no plot material from Battlefront so we have no idea why there was a battle and what it means to the movies.
What I'm really curious about is how they retrieved Luke's/Anakin's blue lightsaber as that would have been lost in the Bespin Cloud City, or in the gas planet itself if the core of the city vented out the bottom.
