This next step of my Battlefield crate went much faster once I got it paint worthy. I was able airbrush the browns and greens with minimal touch up! Getting the wooden bits ready was easy as the flashing did not need to be fully removed, however on the hedges there were huge gapsbetween the tow halves, it was a pretty atrocious job by Mantic. However, craming in the "liquid" greenstuff and giving it some texture made it so you can't really tell. (I put the quotes as my liquid greenstuff is beginning to dry out. ) The abbatis spikes were kinda fun, though it took me a bit to get the fresh sharpened wood color to me liking. I ended up mixing some yellow with bleached bone.

The hedges ended up being a pretty stout piece. The signposts and fences, however, I expect I will need to add bases to these.

Definitely a great call adding the yellow to the bleached bone for the fresh wood. What yellow was it?

Oh gosh, I don't remember, I think I grabbed the yriel yellow, Or I might have tried using up my pot of bad moons yellow. It was one of the two, I don't remember which I grabbed at this point. ^_^

Okay. Those yellows are far more bright than I was thinking of. But still, the effect definitely worked.
