Jeff,Mark, and I got a 25 can single car game in. We used driver perks in the build and the Death Race where you make a figure 8 track. I started slow out of the pole as I didn't understand gear shift with activation. So you can keep moving your car for each activation gear in a turn. So in 3rd gear, you act 3x. During a turn you can shift up to push your activations. If course the risk is building hazards and at higher gear you have limited template choices. Weapons don't activate until the 2nd marker and our game had an early collision that nearly demolished Mark's buggy. I made the 2nd marker 1st which seems good but it allowed Jeff to ram me and shoot me. I survived but was heavily damaged. However what happen to me, Mark did to Jeff and he finished Jeff's car off. Hysterically Jeff's wreck ended up being the downfall of Mark's car and they both were out of the game. I races to the finish. Some thoughts, you don't have to roll dice and just place the template down and move your car. But there are effects on the dice you may want to do. Shifting symbols are key. They allow changing of speed or remove hazards so the dice rolling is a risk reward mechanic. Sometimes I was fishing for a spin result to change my car's facing. The building is typical of Osprey Publishing and allows really any type of vehicle you want. I can see us playing this often and those two raves about building and converting their cars they found.
