So was at the Warhammer store and preordered my copy of the Rulebook and Imperium Index 1 & 2 as well as the Xenos volume 1
Interesting the races are getting some name changes. Eldar and Dark Eldar had different names and I can't quite remember how they were spelled. They had the starter game and Indexes on hand to preview which was so cool to check out. Some things that came out from the review. Assault weapons will be able to fire after an Advance move {run} which makes them pretty cool. [Shotguns folks?]
So Morale is leadership minus the wounds lost and the difference is more wounds. That is for everyone.
No Flyer rules of hitting them or stuff, just is a move ability.
I feel the Imperium elite armies are going to play pretty good. They didn't looked like glossed over Space Marines and the Assassins looked pretty impressive. So the Warhammer store will be doing promos and things for June 17th release. I managed to get some token pieces for Shadow War: Armageddon when I was there so that should help our games of those out!

I was pretty jealous when I saw you had those. I ordered the starter set, Chaos index, imperial index that has the marine armies and the tactical objective cards. I am now officially in the poor house.

Miniwargaming has the rules and started a huge run of BatReps for 8th edition. He also went over some of the rules. I will add from learning from it. Morale clarification is : After suffering casualties a unit rolls 1d6 minus the models lost and then remove wounds from the unit no saves of any kind allowed. I might add Adeptas Astartes do suffer from this though they get to reroll the 1d6 die.
Another thing I though was interesting is that vehicles can fight in the fight phase. No more easy pounding on the tanks.
Matt from Miniwargaming was stressing that the Fight phase is very different from 7th edition. The hitting and wounding seems like a simple change but does appear to alter the way things survive than before. After the 1st Batrep I watched there is more of a strategy of getting units to attack the best units they are suited for, I am pretty excited to play.

Why are you guys ordering stuff from the GW store and not Crossroads or the Complex? You never play at the GW store and thy don't need your business as bad as the local gaming stores.
You want these other stores to carry more games and more GW stuff but give your money to a place that doesn't want you to play other games.
I'm going to do my best to get stuff from both stores.

They are trying to do things with our community, Justin has offered on numerous occasions to tie all three stores GW players. If the owners dont engage and work with him thats not on us. This was a big pre-order and I didn't want to miss out like Shadow Wars: Armageddon which sold out. The Complex has struggled with their distributors and the store gave us a sneak peak at 8th. I also feel i purchase more than enough from all shops, even Diversions
