Umm my first impression is that vehicles seem more tougher than ever before. Which is great for the Dreadnought as it seems it will fall in line with Monstrous Creatures of old but some poor wound rolls and that tank ain't going away. Interesting, and Terminators going to 2 wounds. Nice

It would be nice to see dreadnoughts be decent. They've been pretty bad for awhile. I thought the same about terminators too. Apparently some weapons will do multiple wounds at a time though.

It should work for them, small fire just won't bring down droves of terminators and I also realized that vehicles won't have to worry about cheap shots to their rear arc anymore

All these changes are definitely making this edition change exciting. It would be nice for units like terminators and dreadnoughts to be viable again.

Well, we're seeing some weapon profiles in Shadow war Armageddon doing D3 wounds. So something with 8 or 9 wounds can still certainly be whittled down in 3 or 4 hits.

Still better than having your dread or landraider get one shot all the time. The talk of vehicles and MCs becoming less effective the more wounds they take is interesting.

Another rule I actually like! As they stated in that article the IC character was a cause for so many broken things being done on the battlefield. Instead by using aura buffs it really makes them enhancers to a army whole than this Death Star creator. Plus the 9 wound or less hero not being easily shot is also well thought out and it seems they will watch who they give what amount of wounds to. Very cool indeed!

Apparently units like rattling and scout snipers, rangers, vindicare assassins will be able to shout at those characters though which is cool. I hope there is going to be an equivalent unit for chaos/bad guy armies so that it's not just something the imperium/elder/tau can do.

From the sound of it, these are just the base character rules. Each individual character will have additional "Command Abilities" that will be specific to their particular armies.

So far the rules blurbs they have been posting have made happy on the whole, there are a few things I am leary about, but I will wait to see how everything meshes together.
