So a new Captain America #1 came out today and revealed that he has been and still is a Hydra Operative. What the fuck?! What does everyone think of the idea of this.

I think it is either a deliberate provocation to set the internet on fire and get attention for Marvel, or a sincere attempt at corporate suicide.
Most people have interpreted it to mean that he's a nazi and I've seen some people say they are concerned about wearing their Capt America merch in public because it would imply that they support nazis.
Not the smartest move for a company that just released a very popular and profitable movie based on the character that they are saying works for Big Evil.
So maybe it's both, A cry for attention AND a sincere attempt at corporate suicide.

You almost really have to wait for the arc to complete. As I understand comics are not as profitable as they once were so any attempt to get readers to buy I imagine them trying. Besides if it doesn't sit well they will reboot like they always do.
I think the story is dumb.

I've only seen the news articles talking about it so I'm not familiar with how it plays out in the comic...does it show him being raised Hydra so this isn't a "act like Hydra to infiltrate" ploy? My guess would be some sort of misinformation attempt to, as Ben says, get you to wait for the full arc to play out. Which sounds like an attempt to sell comics and try and match movie success.
Either way.....I don't like it.

I'm also hearing a lot has to do with Sam Wilson being Captain America. That it's some type of plot to recreate/ resurrect Steve Rogers

Not recreate/resurrect. He's been getting old because the serum was wearing off, so he's been re-energized. I just bought the episode to read. But Sam Wilson (Aka, Falcon) took over the mantle of Cap and took Cap's shield, so now Steve is revitalized/re-energized and has a new shield and stuff as well.
