So I hadn't felt greatly inspired to post here because lately I have been painting away on Zombicide: Green Horde. There are some very cool minis in this but a shit ton of zombie orcs can be rough to plow through. Some Abominations were also cool especially the Abomibunny! Here is some of the minis of the bottom tray. Top one the picture quality sucked. I picked up the Blood Bowl undead team and eagerly got them assembled and painted. I wanted them in the long league we are doing at the Complex. These guys had some challenges putting together but they were very nice to paint. So with a buzz coming from Fantasy Flight Games doing a campaign with the "Down AT-ST", I am ramping up for some more Legion. I got the Emperor and he is done but it took some time to get his Royal Body Guard. I had a basic plan to paint these guys, then after a Beasts of War show about glaze painting shiny smooth surfaces. I am giving that technique a shot on their helmets. This is a brief start on them. I did finish some other minis but for board games. I did the minis for Western Legends. Nothing to special just something to add color to one of favorite games so far. I also did a lot of Rum N' Bones minis for my son Dylan so that slowed up some of my work. Let's see what I get done in March.

I completed my Royal Guard unit. The helmets are interesting because I did this layer effect with a red glaze. It took about 7 coats to get it that look. What do you guys think? I tried this way after the hosts on Beasts of War mentioned painting this way to mimic the effect of an airbrush. I am pleased and the unit really pops with the red. Excited to get them in action

I like it. I like the way the layers of glaze work with the light to create the highlights and the gloss pops like the actual helmets.

Thanks! I am very happy with the results. Unfortunately only need the one unit of these guys but they will pop against the white of the stormtroopers
