I’m so out of the loop I don’t even know what Keyforge is.

I have really been enjoying playing Keyforge. The unique aspect of decks makes playing someone new very interesting. I talked with Brenden about the local decks at CrossRoads and he said the decks that stomped on Wednesday nights got beaten in their first tournament they ran. That is so cool to hear. Are you into this game, keep your deck handy when we meet and let's play a game or two

Played my first game of Keyforge today. It's an intriguing game. Somebody at the Complex let Art and I use his Starter decks and we worked through the rules that way. There was a lot of back and forth and we didn't really know who was going to win until right at the end when it wasn't possible to stop it.
I definitely had enough fun that I'm curious to play some games with my own deck.

Yeah the swinging back and forth can happen quick and often. Very interesting, glad you enjoyed it. Remember practice with your deck is very important as well and every match is unique too

I've picked up a couple decks myself, and have not played anywhere near as much as I would have liked to do so. ^_^

I got to get a game of Keyforge with the new expansion. It was against an first edition deck and it took a bit but then steamrolled it. Anyone else have any experience playing with the new decks?

So far my predominant experience with this game, either expansion is I really want to like it, but it hurts me so. I love the concept! Everything about it! But in practice unless I play my one particular deck that has some comeback power, the person who gets the edge gets to steamroll their opponent and I have no fun with this game. I haven't completely given up on it yet. But I think I will almost never play anything but that one deck, unless I can find a similar. Shadowfist may have spoiled me... :/

Interesting. Usually I see a lead then the opposing deck levels the playing field and ties it up then one of the deck gets an edge with a close game. I have only steamrolled a few times in a game. This new expansion had some mechanic tricks that caused some problems for my son's deck to deal with. I do know some decks just can't hang with others but that is also the chain restriction they encourage to help balance the two decks.

If only they had a good way of estimating that restriction in place. That might help my issues with the game, but it is exceedingly frustrating for me to try to set up a cool thing to do next turn, then watch it be completely wiped out by my opponent just casually play their next turn. As I said, I haven't completely given up on the game yet. I really want to like it.

Well that's good! Maybe at some point we can get a few games in, take a look at your deck and see what's up? It usually takes me three games to get a feel for what my deck wants to do.
