I can hear the Ironjawz Start Collecting box for Age of Sigmar starting to call my name. Has anybody else been thinking about a fantasy army or had the chance to play the game?

I haven't tried the game yet, but I do like the armies of the Death grand alliance.

Those are some pretty intense looking minis. Any particular army within the grand alliance?

Not particularly. I like them all. The great thing about AoS is that you can mix and match within the alliance. For a start collecting box it would be between Skeleton Horde & Malignants. (Both?)

The Malignants box looks pretty cool, but it only has 8 figures amongst three units. Not very much for starting off with. The Skellie box has 16 figures amongst 3 units.

I still have my Dark Elves that I would roll into the new system if we were to play.

I could field Daemons, but new shinies.

You could mix new shinies in with Daemons....

I still have my Dark Elves that I would roll into the new system if we were to play. The website has the stat sheets "warscrolls" for all the units for free download, you'd be able to get the rules for the troops you still have.

They have an app too. I downloaded it on my phone last night, pretty cool. It'll be nice when they do the one for 40k too.

The Kharadon Overlords have tempted me and I usually never jumped in to a dwarf army for table top before

I like the Kharadron figures and the story that goes with them. But looking at their rules I just don't think that I could make them work. They'd be interesting enemies to figure out though.

Have you seen the Kharadron Overlords: Developers video from Warhammer TV? Jeremy Vetock talks about the whole design, fluff, and culture of the Kharadron. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8opRR48CrO0

No, it hasn't turned into an obsession. I still am working other games so AoS hasn't been calling me into it. I wasn't looking for competitiveness when I saw them but the fact they would play different and looked cool. I mean freaking airships!

I wasn't thinking of them in terms of competitiveness. Just that I'm not sure that they would fit the play style I'm looking for and I would get frustrated with them.
