Did anyone manage to get a copy of Shadow War: Armageddon (Swarma)? I'm thinking this might get me back into playing GW, even if I already have just about all the models I'll need for it.
I downloaded the army lists, and it looks like most of the lists look like they'll 5-10 models, with a couple exceptions for the Elite and Horde style of lists. Tyranids, Grey Knights and Harlequins are definitely Elite, while Orcs and Genestealer Cults look like Horde lists.

No one got a copy. It sold out in something like 10 minutes. They already said the rule book will be coming out soon though. You don't even really need all the options after the troops because they are just one game hires. All you really need is a troop box from whichever faction you choose.

Yeah I wasn't sold on getting the box with models in it, but I will likely be picking up the rule book eventually.

Apparently veteran players were not turn on to the box set but everyone seems interested in playing the version. If anyone gets rules let us know and we can give it a go. Guerilla Games has posted a couple of videos of the game

There is a free download on the GW site for all the factions except the ones that come in the box set (Orks, Space Marines and Astra Militarum) and Deathwatch, guess they don't want the Deathwatch to have any fun...... Looked at the rules and decided that it was time to get some more paint on a few Guardians, Dire Avengers and Wraithguard

They just added Sisters and Inquisitorial kill teams to the PDF. Sorry Ben, but the Deathwatch marines are only special operatives.

The erulebook goes on sale tomorrow, as well as pre-orders for the new printed rulebook. I'll see if I can track down a copy, but it's looking like it should be a fun game. It sounds like you can get a campaign in over a full day, or a weekend at most. It'll really depend on how the games go.
The objective is 15 promethium caches to win the campaign, with 1 for playing, and I think it's d3 for winning, plus bonus caches for dropping some of the special operatives. So, you could play a campaign in a long day, but I want to see the rules.

On the last Guerrilla Miniatures games they were saying it would probably take 10-15 games.

I'm not 100% sure because I haven't seen the rules, but I think I heard Ash say 1,000.

Hmmm that is not bad. Good price for a GW rulebook. Does that cover all the army points, for all the races

I may soon be getting a look of Shadows of Armageddon rules soon until we can buy a copy when it release. If this happens soon I might want to give it a go for a film day on Monday
