I recently had a good talk with Karg about resurrecting our 40k game time. With his collection and terrain ownership we have together a significant option for playing surfaces to play on. I know many of you have 40k armies as it is the start of our table top gaming. The question is would there be players interested in getting involved in a story format like we do for Infinity & other games for Spectreverse. There are actually two options to be discussed here. 1st: Would be to use the normal collections we have to do various battles. I am assuming we would stick with a certain race but depending on the amount of players and the story. We would have small and large scale games with 2 or more players depending on the narrative. 2nd: The next would be to do a Kill Team campaign idea that Miniwargaming used for a Deathwatch series they did. It would be like a squad of 10 marines against a Game Master. The requirement was to have those 10 models be ready to be modified as the campaign went to arm them accordingly. So if he started with a bolter and got a meltagun the model would need to be rearmed. What do people think. Of course this also would be run out of the Complex our sponsor.

I'd be up for either. Right now I can get my hands on my Space Marine troops, the Eldar and all the tanks are stashed away. I should be able to get to all that stuff soon though.
We could combine both. A few months of the kill team type scenario building to larger battles.

You know I'm on board. With Peter Pan wrapping up, I'll have some extra free time on my hands till the summer show starts. Then it will be the usual amount. but I could start brainstorming some ideas for campaigns, I've actually been thinking up some scenarios with the terrain I have and want to build for a long time now. This is the perfect excuse to put them on paper so they can get put on the table top. Since I have huge collections I'd prefer larger scale battles than Kill Team, but I'd be up for either. Art's idea of doing both sounds fun too. Maybe the Kill Team gets upgraded to Vet Sergeants in the big battles.

The thought is on the majority of play type. But we could have a large scale battle going on but the shields on a generator need to go down. Ala the kill team playing on a separate table have 7 turns to get it done. With a nucleus of players we can do a lot of different stuff. He'll I still own an Imperial fleet for Battle Fleet Gothic. Brainstorm with a huge story to tell. It will be fun!

Just want to let the 40k community know we are close to kicking this campaign off. Our member John is eager to lead the charge for us here and I am working with him to get a base of rules down we can use to make our heroes heroes and squads famous. I haven't checked with John but I believe he is leaning on the base of players being Imperium but I can see others as we are planning NPCing the Tyranids. Two terrible Hive fleets about to be unleashed. Now John and I have collected for years and the model range is extensive so call for your friends to join us. You will need them to join as members here to track the calander events as they are posted and give us an idea who is making it. See you all soon!

I am in, whether to push Xenos races into the guns of the "heroic" Imperium or to field my own force.
Just want to see this thing get off the ground. I'll talk to John soon to see what he has planned and how I can assist.

Yarr! I'll get an official type writeup out there soon, but the initial idea is two Hive Fleets, Wraithe and Charybdis, have drifted together and are clashing against one another squabbling to consume all resources in their path. Imperium forces are trying to protect their own and fight back the ravening swarms. Xenos factions interact for their own reasons, but many are present.
All players or all armies are of course welcome, even a third (or fourth) Hive Fleet!

I'd also be interested in pitching in with organization and ideas if you need/want any Karg.

Cool cool! We just posted the event to the calendar, and I am going to stop by Warhammer to drop off some fliers and introduce myself either today or tomorrow.

Saw the flyer for this posted in the warhammer south portland facebook group and it sounds pretty cool. I'm a bit of a newbie with 40k but I'd love to take part in this.

We also know a fair bit about the many armies to help you choose one that fits your play stile, when you are ready to make the investment. Just please don't let my longstanding dislike of the Eldar, influence you in anyway.

The Adepta Sororitas Convent of the Righteous Holocaust stands ready to send the Ashes to Ashes Purgation Team into the theater of action.

Ha! It would be good to see a few non-imperial sides out there. Feel free to bring both, I'll allow everyone to have at least two lists.
