Been watching the new Daredevil series on Netflix and so far awesome. I'll post more as I get through it.

The cinematography is well done, but the fight scenes are too choppy and dark. Not sure if it's just a build up for later or if they're going with too much "darkness". And the character is more on the line of Batman or Arrow for vigilantism and not as "heroic" as the comics portrayed Daredevil. Bu it's something of an origin story so maybe this is just a low point.

Yeah, thanks to you Jake for getting to read Frank Millar's work when making Daredevil bad ass. It's still early for this series maybe a season 2 arc. Halfway through and the Kingpin is awesome. He is so well done, a true leadership villain where his charisma makes you like him, yet when he attacks he is vicious and brutal. The fight with the ninja was awesome and Kingpin finishing up WOW!
Watching some more today!

Only watched the first 2 episodes so far but I like the feel. Nice and dark and gritty. I like the origin story being told through flashbacks rather than spending episodes on it.

I'm on Ep 5 and have to say I'm impressed. Makes Daredevil a contender with Arrow and Flash and is a faaaaaaaaaaaar cry from Batfleck's portrayal.

And I know Daredevil was a darker comic.. But I don't ever recall him saying he tortures people because he likes it in the comics.

I do really love the extra depth to the Kingpin and how they portray him in an almost "Good Guy" light with the dedication to the city. It makes him a far more interesting and richer character than just the Head of the Biggest Crime syndicate.

I have now watched the first 3 episodes. Art was right. He says that he does it because he enjoys hurting people when he has the Russian half over the ledge then she said she didn't believe him when he said it. I'm really loving it so far. They are nailing an early Daredevil. I like the little touch of the viewer being able to hear him listening to people's heartbeats and knowing things like when their lying. Art you were spot on with the fight scenes being more gritty and realistic which is great.

I have just the finale left and this has been hitting all the right notes for me. It's very Frank Miller influenced as it should be. Nobu was definitely a Hand ninja so I'm hoping for a season 2 ninja extravaganza with Matt, Stick and his crew the Chaste being introduced. They threw in a little bit of Iron Fist to eventually help tie them together for The Defenders. The symbol on the packets of heroine is Davos, The Steel Serpent from K'un L'un. I could talk about this show all day. I've got really high hopes for the Netflix corner of the Marvel universe now. I just wish we didnt have to wait so long for Iron Fist.

Finished the Season....wow. Very impressed. I think the fact that it is Netflix they can get gritty and dark and use it to their favor to really showcase the characters the way they were intended in the comics. Daredevil is so much different than any other portrayal in the past. They really re-invented the character and Vincent D was absolutely amazing. If the other Netflix/Marvel shows are anywhere as good as this, they have hit a homerun and will give the DC universe a run for their money in the world of shows vs. movies.

Oh shit had to revive this thread. Latest season two trailer which features Punisher. Man it looks soooo good and they make the story feel right. But what a finish, fucking Elektra!!! Hell Yes!!!!
