Hawk Wargames is running a Kickstarter for its new game Drop fleet Commander. Where DZC is a game of ground combat, DFC is the game of space combat where you fight the fleet battles that are raging in orbit during the Reconquest. /description

If you have some interest head over to Beasts of War. They are covering it

This looks intriguing... I loved Battlefleet Gothic.
Looks like the available fleets are currently limited, but which faction are folks interested in?

Personally, I'm looking at the PHR as my starting point. Mainly because I really like the PHR army in Dropzone Commander and feel like continuing the theme into orbit.

For Dropzone Commander I'm waffling between the Resistance and Shaltari forces... So the Shaltari fleet would probably how I'd go for now... and then that would make sense for the Shaltari ground forces as well. But I really like the hovercraft and helicopters of the resistance. But it would kind of make sense that they don't have a fleet option.

Yeah, the Resistance look the most interesting of the ground forces. I am torn between UCM and Scourge for fleet, so I may just pick up the 2 player starter kit, and that I don't have to choose.
Edit: Which is what I have just now done. ^_^

I'm in at the 2 player set too, and will be getting the PHR fleet as a 'bolt on'. If somebody wants to give me money for other fleets as 'bolt ons' or is willing to buy the Scourge fleet from me, I'd be willing to do that and add it in with my pledge to save money on shipping and what-not. It would also free up some money so that I could get more play-mats and other bolt ons for the studio.

So as I mentioned before, I was thinking I I'd be willing to toss money at your pledge so you can get more stuff for the studio rather than bumping mine. If no one else wants your Scourge and UCM fleets, I'd give you $80 for them, which should be the difference between our two pledges, and more than enough to get you up to Commodore. However, if someone wants to pick one or both of those fleets up, I am all for more players rather than me having more ships. So I would defer to them, no problem. I am thinking $50 would be fair for the UCM alone, since it comes with the extra battle cruiser, and $30 would be fair for the Scourge. Let me know what you think! And if anyone else wants in speak up! Like I said, I'd be happy to step aside to let more players in.

I'm happy to see others help Mark here. I have been bulking other games so build up and I'll film for players as they play when you get this

I'm interested in "Bolting On" for the Shaltari... But the shopping season is threatening to tie up all my potential disposable cash. If I can get in on this it will be a last minute join.

When would you want to take care of the money? You will be getting: UCM starter set; Scourge starter set; kickstarter exclusive UCM cruiser; kickstarter exclusive Scourge cruiser; 1 free UCM cruiser sprue; 1 free Scourge cruiser sprue; 1 free UCM frigate sprue; and 1 free Scourge frigate sprue. Do you also want to buy the 2 sets of Launch Assets that I got as 'bolt-ons' for these two fleets? They are $15 each.

I have my Launch assets from the Battlefleet gothic days, I was planning to use for now. I can give you cash or a check on the 3rd at the complex unless you need it sooner.

I actually sold off all of my old BFG stuff. I didn't even think about using that for DFC. The 3rd will be fine, I can cover it until then. I'd prefer cash if that isn't too inconvenient.

Man, watching Beasts of War having interviews with the developers, I am regretting not backing this. Those ships are God damn beautiful and the combat system is very precise and realistic. You guys that did back this, when you receive it get this shit assembled and painted and let me know. I will make an immediate event to film and learn this game. If it goes as well as I think, I maybe ordering my own fleet
